The Swiss Language Academy (SLA-BASEL) is a modern and internationally oriented language school in the heart of Basel. Our goal is to help people learn a new language with confidence, practicality and enjoyment – for everyday life, work, education or personal development.

A Diverse Range of Courses for Different Needs

As an international language centre, we offer language courses for adults, teenagers, children, private individuals and companies.

Our programme includes a wide range of languages and course formats – from intensive language training and evening group classes to one-to-one lessons, corporate courses and targeted exam preparation. In addition to our German courses, we also offer courses in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Turkish and Arabic. This allows our students to choose the language that best suits their personal, professional or academic goals. A particular focus is placed on our German courses from levels A1 to C1, as well as preparation for recognised language examinations such as the fide test and telc exams. This enables our students to choose the learning path that matches their language level, personal goals and everyday life.

Our consultation services are available in German, English, Russian and Turkish. This ensures that you can clearly understand important information about our courses, placement assessments and enrolment process, and feel well-supported from the very beginning.

SLA-Basel is located at Münchensteinerstrasse 2, 4052 Basel, directly opposite the Denkmal tram stop and within easy reach of Basel SBB railway station and Aeschenplatz.
