Online language courses in times of the coronavirus
The coronavirus has a grip on all of us. Not only in Switzerland, but globally we are faced with drastic measures due to the high risk of infection. Because of the extraordinary situation, many people are living at home and life outside has been reduced to a minimum.
Above all, the world of work is suffering as a result. In many countries, apart from supermarkets, all shops are closed. Also as SLA Basel we are affected by the consequences of the drastic measures. Language schools are places where people come together and learn a foreign language together through a speech teacher. We are currently not allowed to do this, as the ban on contact is currently more important than anything else.
However, the coronavirus has shown the working world that many things can also be done at home. Indeed, the digital age often gives us the opportunity to carry out some of our tasks at home. With this experience, we can also expect a transition in the future.
At SLA Basel we have decided to make use of this option. Anyone who would like to learn a foreign language from our range of language courses still has this opportunity. We have started online live lessons in One-to-one tuition via Skype to offer.
Give the coronavirus no chance with online language tuition!
It doesn't matter whether you need to learn English, German, French, Italian or Spanish! You don't even need to visit our language school in Basel to do so. Now, during the time of the coronavirus, you can learn your desired language online easily and effectively. And quite simply, whenever and wherever you want!
With the Online private tuitiont for English, German, French, but also Portuguese, Arabic Russian and Turkish competent language teachers will be available to you who will assess your current level of knowledge through a placement test and develop an individual training programme with you.
With this training programme, you can determine the number of hours, duration, learning content and pace with the teacher. You can easily access the teaching materials via Google Drive, email or Dropbox. You can access these materials at any time, print them out and edit them if necessary.
Online preparation courses for language certificates
In addition, we offer you Online preparation courses for the language certificate exams: These include, for example CAE, FCE, IELTS and TOEIC for English, Telč and Goethe-Institut for German and DELF and DALF for French. During the coronavirus pandemic, you can easily participate in these preparation courses via Skype.
