telc (The European Language Certificates) is an internationally recognised language examination system. The telc Basel examinations are based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The telc exam for German consists of a written (reading, listening, and writing) and an oral part.

Registration for the telc exam is possible at any time. Please note the registration deadlines. The registration deadline is 16 days before the exam date. Places are limited!

Conducting the audit

If the number of participants is too low, exams may be cancelled up to 3 weeks before the exam date.

Deregistration

This registration is binding and cannot be cancelled. If you wish to withdraw from the examination, you must do so at least 16 days before the examination date.Cancellations must be made in writing. The date of receipt of the notification by Swiss Language Academy shall be deemed the effective date of cancellation. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. Failure to pay the invoice or failure to appear for the exam shall not be deemed cancellation.

 In the event of deregistration after the deregistration deadline or absence from the examination, 100% of the examination fee will be charged. In the event of serious illness, a doctor's note must be submitted. the costs of taking the exam can be refunded. SLA Basel charges a processing fee of CHF 80 for A1 – A2, CHF 120 for B1 – B2 and CHF 180 for C1.

In the event of non-attendance, examination participants will not receive a refund.

What is the telc exam?

The telc examination is an internationally recognised German language test aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The certificate is accepted by authorities, employers and higher education institutions.

SLA Basel offers telc German A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2.

telc A1: CHF 190.–
telc A2: CHF 190.–
telc B1: CHF 280.–
telc B2: CHF 280.–
telc C1: CHF 360.–

telc C2: CHF 480.-

Partial examinations:
• telc B1/B2: Written CHF 200.– | Oral CHF 180.–
• telc C1: Written CHF 250.– | Oral CHF 200.–

Registration is completed online or directly with SLA Basel. Please register no later than 16 days before the examination date.
