We are an accredited examination institution for the fide test
If you want to prove your knowledge of German in Switzerland, you have the fide-Test available. In this test, candidates must complete tasks at levels A1 to B1. These questions involve various everyday situations in Switzerland that one experiences at work, at the doctor's or in a supermarket.
Nationally recognised language passport
All persons aged 16 and over can take part in the fide-Test take part. This test consists of a written and an oral part. The written test lasts one hour, while the oral test is slightly shorter at 40 minutes. To take part in this test, interested parties must visit an examination institution. The test tasks are at levels A1 – B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference. (GER).
Also on the list of examination institutions is SLA Basel. The language passport, which participants receive by post about four weeks after the test, is recognised throughout Switzerland. Since the test was developed on behalf of the State Secretariat for Migration, the language passport can also be submitted for naturalisation.
Note the registration deadline for the fide test
As an accredited examination body, we offer interested parties the opportunity at any time to register for the fide-Test to register. If you are interested in taking part, however, you should note the registration deadlines. The closing date for registration is 20 days before the exam and the number of places is limited. It is therefore definitely worth acting in good time to register.
