A1 Intensive German Course: Step by Step to A1 Level

At our school, the A1 level is divided into two sub-levels: German A1.1 and German A1.2. Each sub-level lasts 6 weeks. Participants who attend the Intensive German Course A1.1 complete the first half of A1 level and acquire important basic knowledge of the German language.

To successfully complete the entire A1 level, participants then attend the Intensive German Course A1.2, which covers the second half of A1 level. This means you can reach the full A1 level within 12 weeks.

The A1 Intensive German Courses at SLA Basel take place daily from Monday to Friday and enable continuous learning progress. For maximum flexibility, various course times are available:

09:00–10:30
10:45–12:15
14:00–15:30

Course Content of the A1 Intensive German Course

In the A1 Intensive German Course at SLA Basel, you learn the foundations of the German language and specifically improve your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing. The course is ideal for people who need German for everyday life, work, education or integration in Switzerland.

Through the intensive support and practice-oriented teaching methods of SLA Basel, you make rapid progress and gain confidence in using the German language. Our qualified teachers support you in systematically building your German skills and successfully achieving your learning goals.

A1 German Course in Basel with Official Exam Option

For participants who would like to officially prove their German skills, we offer the opportunity to take recognised German exams directly on site. After completing the A1 level, you can take either the fide Test or a telc exam at SLA Basel and confirm your language level with an official certificate.

This makes the A1 German Course in Basel not only a good foundation for everyday life, but also useful preparation for official language certificates.
