Semi-Intensive German Course B1: Step by Step to B1 Level

At SLA Basel, B1 level is divided into two sub-levels: German B1.1 and German B1.2Each sub-level lasts 9 weeks. In the Semi-Intensive German Course B1.1, you will expand your German skills and learn to express yourself confidently in many everyday situations. In the subsequent Semi-Intensive German Course B1.2, you will deepen your knowledge and further develop your language competence. This allows you to successfully complete the entire B1 level in 18 weeks.

Semi-Intensive German B1 Courses in Basel with Flexible Course Times

The Semi-Intensive courses take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and enable continuous learning progress. For maximum flexibility, different course times are available:

● 9:00–10:30 a.m.
● 10:45 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
● 14:00–15:30 p.m.

Thanks to these flexible course times, you can easily combine the German course with your work or family life.

Course Content in the B1 Semi-Intensive German Course

In the Semi-Intensive German B1 Course, you will systematically improve your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. You will expand your vocabulary, consolidate important grammar topics, and learn to communicate confidently in most everyday situations.

These include conversations at work, at school, with authorities or landlords, as well as understanding and writing simple, coherent texts. The course prepares you to clearly express your opinions, experiences, goals, and wishes, and is ideal for work, vocational training, further education, and everyday life.

B1 German Course in Basel with Official Examination Option

After completing the Evening German Course B1, you can prove your language skills with a certified examination. At SLA Basel, you have the opportunity to take the fide test or a telc examination directly on site and obtain an official language certificate. This allows you to provide recognised proof of your B1 German skills for work, naturalisation, vocational training, or further qualifications.
